One of the questionable contractors retained by FCPS is Boosterthon.
Boosterthon offers a combination of fundraising and “character lessons;” to do this, it requires access to both students and school facilities. Boosterthon has indicated that it conducts background checks, but these results are not disclosed to school officials.
The company Boosterthon uses to conduct these background checks is S2Verify.
As can be seen from this lawsuit, S2Verify allegedly uses obsolete information in its background checks:
This is unacceptable. FCPS needs to protect the children; background checks with obsolete information in them do not accomplish this!
This is just another example of poor management at FCPS and another reason to vote NO on the meals tax.
