Vote No On The Meals Tax: Some Figures

At present, meals are already subject to a 6% tax. If the meals tax is enacted, the result would be a 10% tax on meals.

That’s quite an increase:

4/6 = 2/3 = 66.67%

Rounding up, that’s a 70% increase in the taxes paid on meals.

Is this much of an increase necessary? What concrete and documented steps have been taken by FCPS to cut spending?
